Every day at noon local time, scientists at the station's atmospheric observatory launch a weather balloon. The measurements show that Svalbard is at the epicenter of climate change. Temperatures are warming faster in the Arctic than anywhere else on the planet. This portrait is part of my Women of Arctic Science project. "The changing of the climate concerns us all," says Haupt.
