For activist and student Camille Sage (@camillesagee), the climate crisis is personal. Her family has no access to clean, drinkable running water.“Even though we can’t drink the running water because of contamination from abandoned mines, just having running water is a huge privilege,” explains Camille, whose grandmother lives on a Navajo reservation in New Mexico. Other members of her extended family have no running water. Period.“As people become more aware of the issues surrounding the climate crisis and Indigenous communities, hopefully there’s a push for corporations who have left behind abandoned uranium mines or unsafe pipelines through Indigenous land to be held financially accountable to an extent that they haven’t been previously. My hope for the future is that access to clean running water becomes an extended right and reality to everyone, everywhere.” 💚💙💚For more resources, check out the link in our bio.Reel by @camillesagee
