案例简介：UK climate activist and student Dominique Palmer (@domipalmer) became passionate about the climate crisis when she became more aware of its inequitable impact on people.“I saw how communities of color were disproportionately facing air pollution, such as my area in London, as well as communities across the world who are already facing impacts that threaten water, food security, air quality, health and lives,” says Dominique, 21, who works on organizing climate strikes and actions, including Fridays for Future International and Climate Live.“Justice is key. This means acknowledging systemic issues that cause disproportionate impacts of the crisis. Black Lives Matter has brought the issue of justice more forefront in the environmental movement. Racial justice and climate justice are inseparable due to the historic and continuing impacts of racism, colonialism and inequality on the crisis. The movement needs to be more inclusive, have a deeper understanding of interconnected systemic issues. It needs to be a platform for our voices and genuinely listen to us, not tokenize or speak for us.I really want to inspire people to join the movement. Black environmentalists are not well represented in the movement, but we are definitely here.
