案例简介:Photo by @paoloverzone / Each spring the city of Arles, France, celebrates the Fête des Gardians, dedicated to St. George, the patron saint of horsemen. They from across the Camargue region to parade through town alongside Arlésiennes in their traditional dresses. Gardians are the French version of cowboys. The Arlésienne dress dates to the mid-18th century, when the women of Arles decided to dress differently from other French women as a symbol of their independence. The dress was inspired by the Parisian fashion of the time, and it’s still worn today. During the day, Gardians and Arlésiennes gather at the Roman amphitheater for a big show. In the picture a Camargue horse (considered one of the oldest breeds of horse in the world) stands inside the amphitheater during the celebration day.
