案例简介：Photo by Daniella Zalcman @dzalcman / Last month a caravan carrying the remains of nine Lakota children traveled from Carlisle, Pennsylvania, back to the Rosebud Reservation in South Dakota to repatriate youth who had been sent 1,400 miles (2,253 kilometers) away to the Carlisle Indian Industrial School and died far from home. On the way the caravan stopped at Whetstone Landing, a small inlet of the Missouri River where the children had been placed onto steamboats—and the last place they would have seen their parents. Now 140 years later, this was the first opportunity for them to be on their traditional homelands again. Hundreds of community members and onlookers gathered to witness a ceremony before the caravan continued the rest of the way to Mission, South Dakota.
