案例简介:More BBC Two idents now rolled out BBC Two has continued its evolution, having now introduced six new channel idents on the channel this summer. The new idents join the set that were launched in September last year, which was the first full brand refresh of the channel’s identity in twenty years. They have been received positively by audiences and complement BBC Two’s eclectic schedule due to the way they fit between channel junctions, allowing a seamless journey between programmes. The new animations broaden the palette of idents the channel can pair programmes with in order to further reflect the channel’s commitment to specialism, challenging and complex programming, creativity, alternative outlooks and unorthodox DNA. Since their initial launch, the idents have won awards and have helped to define the next stage of the channel’s evolution due to the way they have been designed to knit the channel’s schedule together. The new animations continue the partnership between the BBC’s in-house agency BBC Creative and brand agency Superunion. Laurent Simon, Executive Creative Director, BBC Creative said: “Doing part two of the rejuvenation of the channel was a true delight. BBC Two is one of those ideal projects where everything aligns: amazing ambition, fun collaboration, and great creative output. All with an already tremendous impact on both the audience and the industry.” Stuart Radford, Executive Creative Director and Katherina Tudball, Creative Director, Superunion, jointly said: “We are delighted to continue working with BBC Creative to develop the new identity for BBC Two. True to the project’s original spirit of collaboration, we commissioned digital artists and animators, specifically selected for their individual approach to create unique animations – all of which are unified by the iconic shape of the two curve.” The idents The idents were created through a series of collaborations between some of the best animation talent. Collaborators included: FutureDeluxe, Buck Design, Weareseventeen and More & More. Audio to accompany the animations was created by award winning British composer and sound designer Alex Baranowski. His approach was to use the same two notes which would then evolve and create an atmospheric journey through each animation.
