To bring this experience to life, we used a lightstage equipped with over 200 24-megapixel cameras to capture each athlete's likeness, and we used motion capture to record their real movements. We then used state-of-the-art compression to make these models, textures and animations smartphone-ready.In this behind-the-scenes video, get an inside look at our “scan van” and hear from @caelebdressel, @mrapinoe and @simonebiles as they share their experiences being captured in AR. See their moves up close by searching one of their names in the Google app and then tapping on “View in 3D.”
