    案例简介:Neogama has created an anti-consumerism campaign for the animal protection NGO Move Institute. The initiative encourages people who want to have a pet to adopt instead of buying one. With the concept “Don’t buy a friend. Adopt it”, the campaign critiques and calls attention to the growing pet trade in Brazil. In a commercial center filled with people, cardboard boxes in the shape of cats and dogs were placed on the floor as if they were products the client could take home. The intent was to capture the reality of how pets are treated, that they are commercialized and sold like products every year. Along with an image of the animal stamped onto the box was the message “Don’t buy a friend. Adopt it”, which invites the viewer to reflect on the issue and visit Move’s NGO facebook page at facebook.com/esperandoadocao, where they will be able to see actual animals that are waiting for a new owner. The reactions of people in the commercial center were filmed to generate content for social media. The World Health Organization estimates that in Brazil there are more than 30 million abandoned animals, 10 million cats and 20 million dogs. In big cities, there is a dog for every five citizens. Out of these, 10% are abandoned. About Neogama Neogama is part of the Publicis Group and is one of the biggest advertising agencies in Brazil. Alexandre Gama, its founder and CEO, is also the only Brazilian to be part of Publicis Group’s international creative council. The agency has among its clients some of the biggest advertisers in Brazil, including both national and international brands such as Renault, Ypê and Boticario. About Move Institute The Move institute is a non-profit NGO founded in 2009 with the objective to act in diverse ways towards the cause of animal protection. It is especially concerned with the relationship between animals and humans; how they are sold, treated at home, confined, abandoned and explored. The initiative focuses on the dissemination of information, looking to form opinions and develop critical thinking as well as transform bad habits.
