案例简介：Write a short summary of what happens in the film We follow a young boy venturing into a forest at nightfall. Reaching a clearing, he sees some shooting stars and makes a wish to become a space explorer. As he tells us about his wish, we jump to the story of his future self as a space pilot discovering a new planet, flying along arid landscapes, passing by unknown creatures. However, his journey soon becomes complicated: a hostile spacecraft has detected him and armed its weapons. The enemy engages our pilot, who tries to escape the planet. He flies through outer space, the battle raging on a nearby planet and, in a desperate maneuver, fires at the enemy. The enemy spacecraft explodes into a ball of fire and its debris fall into a neighboring planet’s atmosphere, forming the shooting stars our child here had been watching at the beginning of the film… Tell the jury about the visual effects and summarise any relevant challenges or techniques. Visual effects were key to recreating the look and feel of the legendary space blockbusters kids love and so, like them, we used various different techniques to achieve this goal. Mixing live action from locations and studio, as well as CGI, allowed us to gain credibility and quality. Plates from the Utah desert were used as a basis to create the planet’s landscape, where layers of matte painting and CGI created the unreal and amazing environment of the planet you find in the game. Except for the shots of the cockpit, where CGI met with live action, the space battle is fully animated, with a lot of detail in the spacecrafts and explosions.
