Racist contents and comments continued to spread over social media. Emergency, the international NGO standing for human rights, decided to create a specific content to distribute on social media to change this perception and intercept negative threads: it’s the story of Jalal. The story itself was inspired by multiple generosity acts performed by immigrants during the previous months: a girl was saved from rape by a Pakistani rose seller, a boy was saved from drowning in a river from an Arab immigrant, but even though the events were spread on newspapers and social media, the public opinion didn’t seem to change. BriefExplanation Jalal is an illegal immigrant in Italy, and just like many others he’s selling roses on the streets to indifferent people. But he happens to be at the right place, at the right time: in a restaurant, a man is having a stroke.
