McCann Erickson Athens wanted to outdo itself in creativity and innovation by getting marketing personnel to sample a cookie then phone or visit the website to see what the agency could do for them. Context 5,000 marketers „tasted “the Ideacookies, 18 companies requested a credentials presentation, and from 12 pitches, 8 were successful. Traffic on the McCann Erickson website tripled and there was so much buzz on the market, Ideacookies were even exported to Cyprus. They also won national awards. The humble cookie became a pioneering promotional activity for the advertising industry and a tool to approaching the targeted marketing personnel in a natural and unforced way
