案例简介：Photo by @amivitale / Rangers eagerly wait for Asiwa, a Rothschild's (Nubian) giraffe that became stranded on Longicharo Island in western Kenya’s Lake Baringo, to be moved off the flooded island on a custom-built steel barge. Rising lake levels turned a peninsula into an island, trapping eight giraffes. The local community worked with conservationists from @savegiraffesnow, @nrt_kenya, and @kenyawildlifeservice to keep them alive. Asiwa traveled more than a mile on the barge to reach a 4,400-acre fenced sanctuary. The giraffe had been isolated on a far part of Longicharo, with only about an acre available for foraging as waters continued to rise. Because her position was the most precarious, she was rescued first.
