In the Philippines alone, from 2011-2016, there are 7418 children raped, by their uncles, fathers, older cousins and adults they trusted. Because of fear, more cases are unreported. These statistics do not capture the disgusting stories of rape within the family that are hidden as dark secrets. The stories of abused children needed to reach the public, and move them to take action and support Bahay Tuluyan (Shelter House) programs for the welfare of victims. When abused children narrate their stories, they feel like being raped all over again. So, Bahay Tuluyan told their stories through an animated film using actual illustrations created by abused children. Until the child realizes who he really is. And the feeling is replaced with helplessness, hatred and fear. The composers also expressed intention to make a donation to the foundation.
