案例简介：Photos by Michael Yamashita @yamashitaphoto / It’s Butter Lamp Festival time, a traditional Tibetan Buddhist festival (Chotrul Duchen in Tibetan) that closely follows Losar, the Tibetan New Year. This delicious-sounding festival involves lighting butter lamps to commemorate Buddha’s great religious debating victory over his heretical opponents about 2,500 years ago in India. The lamps are simply clarified yak butter in a bowl with a wick, which, when lit, produce a smokey light. In Tibetan Buddhist tradition, the lights banish darkness, literally and figuratively, and many lights together are conducive to meditation and focusing the mind.
