案例简介:Synopsis To promote LEGOLAND Florida Resort’s rides and attractions we developed a new, hand-crafted method of printing posters made entirely by LEGO bricks. In order to create a sense of ownership to LEGOLAND Florida Resort, we conceptualized designs that featured the park’s main Minifigure characters, paired with their respective rides. When it was time to print, we invited kids come in and help craft the posters – completely upholding our brand strategy: “built for kids to take the lead” With a budget of only $5000 we were able to partner with a local printing company to assist us in our executions, and create hundreds of unique posters to be placed in park. Outcome Due to an early May 2018 launch of the campaign, data is not yet available. However, we anticipate increased awareness, recall, and excitement around specific rides at LEGOLAND Florida that have been represented across LEGOPRESS executions. Execution We began by mapping out each design on a grid using only the shapes and sizes of LEGO bricks as our guide for designs. The intricate process of printing these posters involved LEGO bricks of various sizes and shapes being pressed into place to form our designs. Each color is built as a new layer and rolled out by hand on poster paper. The colors then overlap to form the final image. Because of the limited amount bricks we can ultimately use, colors and detail were at a premium. Thus, we chose to take a stylized, 8-bit approach to our designs. From pirates to surfers, dragons and knights, we captured these characters and rides in a fun, new, and imaginative way. Because each poster was printed by hand (and with the help of kids) every single one contains their own unique blemishes and imperfection, making each poster truly a one-of-a-kind. CampaignDescription Each poster contained a LEGOLAND Florida Resort ride or attraction paired with a heroic image of the Minifigure associated with it: Captain Brickbeard aboard The Great LEGO Race, The Good Knight and The Dragon coaster, and Surfer Girl at the LEGOLAND Florida Resort Water Park. By partnering with kids in the creation of these posters, this campaign not only resonated with them, but also with parents as we showcased the fun and creative nature at LEGOLAND Florida Resort through our designs.
