案例简介：Photo by Diana Markosian @markosian | This is outside my family's home in Santa Barbara, California, a place we came to know in Russia through an American soap opera of the same name. At night, my family watched the show in our tiny Moscow apartment, dreaming of a landscape bathed in golden light. It was a contrast to what our life had become in post-Soviet Russia. And just like that, we found ourselves there. This image appears in my first monograph, Santa Barbara (published by Aperture), which reconstructs my family's experience of immigrating to America. The series is now on view at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
