案例简介:It's the #GlowUp for me! 😍Vast areas of the Mars’ night sky pulse in ultraviolet light as seen in this image from our MAVEN spacecraft, illuminating the complex circulation patterns in the atmosphere.Using green and white false colors to represent the intensity of ultraviolet light, with white being the brightest, the Red Planet takes on a new perspective. Intense brightening in Mars’ nightside atmosphere occurs regularly after sunset on Martian evenings during fall and winter seasons, and fade by midnight. The brightening is caused by increased downwards winds which enhance the chemical reaction creating nitric oxide which causes the glow.
