We were so fortunate to get the opportunity to photograph the extraordinary Fagradalshraun volcano in Iceland while on assignment for @natgeo. I took this picture with a telephoto lens from a location on the top of Gledingadalir mountain. It was breathtaking to see lava pouring out the side of the mountain with the sun setting in the background, connecting these two distant bodies and the impact they have on all life on Earth.
