案例简介：More is more.“I love creating looks with many details so when people look at my works, my face disappears and all they see is the art,” says artist Melody (@imelsmadeup) of her colorful, vibrant, intricate and mesmerizing anime-inspired makeup.“When people talk about makeup and anime culture, they often think about cosplay; I really wanted to create something different but also relatable for ACGN (Animation, Comics, Games and Novels) fans through makeup art. The character designs and color combinations used in a lot of anime/video games really inspired my creations, and it was always fun for me to bring some ‘weeb’ or ‘otaku’ elements into my works.My early looks are very simple, and they are mainly re-creations of characters/scenes from anime or games, but now I focus more on how to express the inspiration with more abstract art, so even people who aren’t familiar with the original inspo can still enjoy my works,” says Melody, who uses a variety of materials including water-activated liners, colorful eyeshadows and rhinestones to create her looks.“I discover a new ‘me’ every time I put on a different look.
