Inspired by his example, Shannon always asks herself, "What can I do to support someone else?""I don't know how to turn it off. There's people hurting," she says. "If we have it to give, it's not for us to hold it for ourselves."When Shannon isn't serving her partners (employees) as a partner resources manager, she's serving meals to under resourced families through her church, raising scholarship money through her kid's soccer club, buying equipment for local schools and providing necessities to women in transitional housing with her Sisters of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She is also an active member of her regional employee network, a certified life coach and a kidney donor."We serve, because we're not meant to do life alone," says Shannon. "My heart and passion is to be of service and support others. That has been my joy."For Black History Month we're celebrating our partners and their stories as they share what everyday Black excellence means to them. #BlackHistoryMonth
