    Samsung has created an app that "wombifies" the sounds of a mother's voice and heartbeat in order to have them played back through a speaker for premature babies inside the intensive care unit. To show how the technology works, Leo Burnett Chicago has created a video called 'Voices of Life' for Samsung that features a mother who is able to virtually "be there" for her premature baby even though she is physically far away. Not only do premature babies lose the benefits of reaching full development inside the womb, they also lose the nurturing sounds of their mothers during their first few days of life since they are often placed inside incubators. Instead of hearing their mother's voice, they hear beeping noises. According to the agency, "this disconnect between the mom and her baby puts the child at higher risk of developing language and attention deficits," and Samsung is hoping to help fix that.
