The PSA features the likes of George Clooney, Clive Owen, Jessica Alba, Arianna Huffington, ONE’s cofounder Bono and more, imploring the public to sign ONE’s petition to world leaders (http://one.org/us/actnow/fword_splash.html?source=hungry_no_more_ussplash), issuing a call to help end famine in Africa. The PSA was banned on British television after being accused of putting forth a political agenda, which would breach the U.K.'s 2003 Communications Act. “The F Word” begins with an explosive guitar cord, opening on Clive Owen who simple says, “f%#k,” with his mouth and words covered by a black censorship strip and beep. Jessica Alba, Ewan McGregor, Michael Bloomberg and more spout out the expletive, until we reach Bono, who intones, “Famine is the real obscenity.” George Clooney adds, “30,000 children have died in just three months,” with Bono and others repeating, “30,000 children… the worst drought in 60 years is devastating parts of Africa.
