It's easy to spot the iconic Key Gompa—a Tibetan Buddhist monastery on a hilltop next to Key village—at an altitude of more than 4,100 meters (13,450 feet) above sea level. The monastery is over a thousand years old and accommodates nearly 250 monks who reside there for religious training. Over the years, I have seen so many snow leopards around this monastery that this view is what comes to my mind when I think of snow leopard habitat. Follow me @prasen.yadav for more photos.
