案例简介：Photo by @amivitale / On International Women's Day I want to share photos of women who inspire me. This is Mary Lengees, one of the first female elephant keepers at Reteti Elephant Sanctuary (@r.e.s.c.u.e) in northern Kenya, caressing Suyian, the first resident. Suyian was rescued in September 2016 when she was just four weeks old. Not only is Mary an inspiration for having helped save more than 30 orphaned baby elephants, but she is also driving change in the way others perceive women in her community and beyond. Although women had never been keepers before, they have been exceptional caretakers to the orphaned elephants. The people in the community are excited to hear what these women have accomplished and rush to them when they return home to learn news of each of the elephants in their care.
