All this is delivered in Mr Swan’s charmingly over-confident style, in a lovingly hand-crafted stop-frame animation that reflects Sipsmith’s uncompromising commitment to craft. Cultural/Context information for the jury Mr Swan is based on Sipsmith’s swan mascot, which is itself inspired by the distinctive shape of their copper gin stills. The rooftop scene shows several iconic buildings of the London skyline from old – St Paul’s Cathedral – to new – The Gherkin. ‘Bingo’ in this context means ‘correct.’ The juniper berry is the most essential ingredient of gin, which is why it’s an advantage for Sipsmith to have ‘the best juniper guy in the business.’ The ‘heart’ of the batch is considered the best-tasting, though lesser gin makers use more or even all of the batch.
