案例简介：Photos by @estherhorvath | For more than a century, polar explorer Ernest Shackleton's 144-foot-long (44 m) ship, Endurance, was lost off the coast of Antarctica beneath the icy Weddell Sea. In early March the ship was found, in remarkably good condition, at a depth of 10,000 feet (3,000 m). The first images of the ship were transmitted via autonomous underwater vehicles (bright yellow).As a photographer, I'm honored to be in the footsteps of Frank Hurley, who was the expedition photographer on Endurance. Without his images, we couldn't imagine what the 28 men on the ship—who all survived—experienced. Photography is a powerful tool to translate history, discovery, and events, preserving them for generations to come.During the Endurance 22 expedition—with a crew drawn from 10 countries—to search for the ship, we were constantly connected to the past, following the path of the 28 men.
