Describe the brief from the client: The AdFest 2009 Exhibition was held in Japan to showcase winning entries at AdFest, an advertising award competition focused on advertising from Asia. We designed and created posters announcing the exhibition, the interior of the exhibition site, and a pamphlet. Description of how you arrived at the final design: Traditional Asian patterns, elephants, and Tai Chi forms were used as design elements for huge waves. Displayed side by side, the three versions of the posters created new waves that engulfed the exhibition site. Indication of how successful the outcome was in the market: The number of visitors doubled from the previous year. The 'Asian Wave' posters that were available at the venue sold out in days.
