Looking for a brand refresh, the 85-year old, Lowes-owned brand Orchard Supply Hardware turned to Persuasion Arts & Sciences to further connect with home owners and engage with their existing customers in California and Portland, Oregon, and new customers at six stores in Florida. Orchard has smaller stores, a focus on easily accomplished projects, and a personable tone of voice. Not home improvement, but home enjoyment. Persuasion created a creative brand platform that is part motto, part promise, and part product description: “Home, Hardware & Happiness.”The body of work acts as a map for how to apply the platform all across the business, from traditional advertising to what’s printed on the receipt.On checkout, every Orchard customer is offered a fresh, crisp apple. Persuasion guided and coordinated media planning, events, activations, public relations, in-store communications and social media. Persuasion also revamped the brand’s email marketing with a new voice, design, and purpose. Brand work includes: Brand platform; creative, connections plan; analytics and reporting; strategic and creative intent; execution and production; and co-ordination leaders across multiple roster agencies.
