Anomaly and the creative team of luggage brand Rimowa collaborate on a slick campaign using five directors to bring to life the travel tales of five high-achievers. The films were produced by BWGTBLD Berlin and Iconoclast Germany. Of course it can be stylish and fancy but on the whole there's something rather sturdy and utilitarian about luggage. Even the word sounds dull. Yet, this campaign, which celebrates Rimowa's 120th anniversary, cunningly bestows glamour on the product by accentuating the romance of travel itself. Via a quintet of beautifully produced films, five brand ambassadors convey what travel means to them and convey the message “mastery is a never-ending journey." Hmmm. Quite so. Basically they didn't get where they are today by staying still. A collected anthem film (above) edits together the films, each of which is helmed by a different director and features a high-profile, long-time Rimowa owner – athlete Roger Federer; Louis Vuitton artistic director Virgil Abloh; model/activist, Adwoa Aboah; chef/restaurateur, Nobu Matsuhisa; and Dior jewellery designer and AMBUSH founder, Yoon.
