案例简介：Photo by @celestesloman / This is a virtual portrait of Marco Reyes from Miami, Florida, who lost his 84-year-old father, Jose Reyes, to COVID-19 on September 4.In December and January I documented six families that lost relatives to the COVID-19 pandemic. Writer Katie Sanders explores what it means to say goodbye from a distance, whether that is a hazmat suit, via Zoom, or through text message. Travel restrictions made taking these portraits in person too risky, so I created still-life virtual portraits from my studio in Brooklyn.Since it was too risky to travel and take these portraits in person, we decided to create virtual portraits from my Brooklyn studio. This approach seemed fitting because the story focuses on distance, separation, and communication through devices, so I created a still-life setup with my iPad surrounded by white flowers, to commemorate those lost.
