BriefExplanation The ‘Consequences’ TVC depicts seven different outcomes in an incident between a young boy on a bike and a car approaching at seven different speeds. At the car's slowest speed, a collision is avoided altogether but other scenarios depict more serious outcomes as the speed increases, culminating in a scene where the car is wrapped around a pole and the bike flies through the air. EntrySummary People don’t want to be told to slow down. Even if they infrequently speed, research has shown us that it’s something they do so as a calculated risk – a decision that isn’t going to harm me. Rather than tell them, what to do we had to reinforce to them that their travel speed is in fact their choice; one that they control with the push of the accelerator. But that choice is directly related to the level of risk they’re willing to expose themselves and others to.
