The ice flows slowly toward the coast, calving into the sea for a final meandering journey. This was one of many icebergs I saw last August when I traveled to northeast Greenland with a team of scientists from Denmark's Aarhus University. These researchers spent long days boating along the fjords to install remote environmental monitoring stations. Ultimately, these stations will help reveal how what happens in waters here can provide early signals of larger changes in the global climate system. #Arctic #Greenland #iceberg
