Each year over 7 million pets enter U.S. Shelters. Most are there because of human circumstances like divorce or relocation, and over 3 million of these healthy or treatable pets are euthanized because no one adopts them. The Shelter Pet Project was created to help find forever homes for animals in shelters, putting an end to the euthanasia of healthy pets. The Shelter Pet Project strives to create a unified face of shelter adoption on behalf of the over-4,000 independently run shelters, and most importantly, to re-brand the way potential pet parents think about shelter animals, taking them from animal inmates to loving companions. Using broadcast, print, digital media and radio, the integrated campaign created as The Shelter Pet Project is driving consumers to abandon their stereotypes and make their local animal shelter their first stop in the search for their next pet.
It's not their fault!
